The Morgan State University cheerleading team has historically consisted of approximately 35-40 female athletes. Cheerleaders cheer at all home football games, select away football games (including post-season), and men’s and women’s home basketball games (including post-season). All members are required to attend the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) College Camp at the beginning of the season. Members will also have the opportunity to be selected for the competitive team, which competes annually in Daytona Beach FL, at NCA College Nationals in the Division I - ALL-GIRL Intermediate level.

 

Minimum tumbling reqirements are toe-touch-back handspring and a pass with 2 or more back handsprings. Preferred tumbling requirements are toe touch tucks and passes with tucks or higher.

There is a required $950 annual participation fee if selected to the team. This fee contributes to, but is not limited to the cost of all gear, shoes, poms and camp costs.  No other financial requests will be made from team members throughout the season.
